Commercial Tenant Program for Tenants

Benefits

If you are a tenant, energy efficiency means your leased space is designed thoughtfully, it is well utilized and comfortable, and all systems operate appropriately. You can see significant cost savings over the length of your lease, increased employee productivity and wellness, and improved talent attraction and retention.

How can NYSERDA help?

Obtaining the right information at the right time can help you make better design and energy management decisions. NYSERDA enables this process by covering the cost of a consultant who will help uncover energy savings opportunities in your space and create an easy to follow, practical action plan. You may work with one of our qualified consultants or your own.

When can I submit a project?

The phases of the commercial office leasing process are planning, selection, design, construction, and Occupancy. The biggest potential for savings occurs when you consider energy efficiency options during the planning, selection, and design phases.

Ready to get started?

Select a qualified consultant. Consultants are responsible for submitting the applications and all deliverables and will receive incentive payments from NYSERDA. Each report will be customized to the client’s requirements so it provides the information they need to make decisions.

If your preferred consultant is no on the list, have them contact us and provide their documentation. We offer ongoing qualification evaluations.

Do you have a portfolio?

If you operate more than two office spaces, you can receive additional support. Find out how.
