Advanced Energy Conference 2026
November 04, 2026 - November 06, 2026New York Hilton MidtownThe Advanced Energy Conference 2026 (AEC 2026), presented by the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at Stony Brook University, will take place November 4–6, 2026, at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City. Under the theme "Adapting the Course: Innovation for a New Energy Era," AEC 2026 will bring together leaders from industry, government, academia, utilities, and the investment community to address the evolving challenges and opportunities shaping the energy sector. The success of a heat pump installation depends on key early decisions– this training will help you choose the right system, avoid common pitfalls, and develop a strategic plan tailored to your building’s needs. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the field, you’ll discover why heat pumps are the future of building HVAC and water heating and gain the practical knowledge you need to lead an energy upgrade with confidence. By the end of this training, you will be able to: - Understand how heat pumps contribute to energy and carbon savings and the benefits of transitioning to them. - Describe the pros and cons of different heat pump systems and how they relate to your unique building. - Identify building factors and criteria that influence good project decision making for retrofits. - Start developing an action plan to evaluate building-specific factors such as size, use, and existing infrastructure. New Nuclear Capital 2026

New York Power Summit
February 23, 2027 - February 24, 2027ARUPThe 2027 New York Power Summit, hosted by EUCI and Arup on February 23–24, 2027, in New York City, is a 1.5-day educational conference bringing together public- and private-sector energy leaders to examine the near- and medium-term needs of New York’s electric power system. The program is designed around a central question: How does New York move from the power system it has today to the system it will need over the next 5-10 years while maintaining reliability, affordability, resilience, and progress toward the State’s longer-term energy goals? Sessions will examine the issue from multiple perspectives, including system planning, generation and resource adequacy, large-scale renewable energy, nuclear energy, transmission development, infrastructure permitting and project delivery, electrification and load growth, economic development, wholesale electricity markets, regulation, affordability, and consumer impacts. The program is intended to provide attendees with a practical understanding of how these issues interact rather than examining any one technology, resource, or policy in isolation. Organizations currently confirmed or actively being incorporated into the program include representatives from NYSERDA, the New York Power Authority (NYPA), Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), New York Transco, National Grid Ventures, Transmission Developers Inc., Nuclear Energy Institute, Luminary Energy, and Arup. Participation is also being coordinated with organizations including the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), New York State Department of Public Service (DPS), New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Public Utility Law Project of New York (PULP), Empire State Development, independent power producers/project developers, and large energy users/economic development stakeholders.
