Drive Clean Rebate for Electric Cars - Open to New York State residents, Charge NY’s Drive Clean Rebate offers a point-of-sale rebate of up to $2,000 towards the purchase or lease of a new plug-in electric car. Includes charging station information for residents, businesses, work places and multifamily buildings.
Provides relief to businesses and residents affected by a natural gas constraint.
Recognizes and rewards village, town, city, and county governments in New York State for implementing clean energy actions to save taxpayer dollars, create jobs, and improve the environment.

In addition, NYSERDA supports energy code advancement by encouraging the voluntary local adoption of a more stringent “stretch” energy code.

Using solar can help lower energy costs compared to using conventionally generated electricity. Additional program components include training for installers and public officials, standardized permitting processes, and consumer education.
Supports offshore wind (OSW) energy as a major source of affordable, renewable power for New York State, especially for the New York City metropolitan area and Long Island. NYSERDA is the lead agency coordinating the offshore wind opportunities in the State.
Educates industrial and commercial companies about the value of an on-site energy manager to drive energy, process, and operational improvements in their business.
Provides free energy benchmarking services to pre-kindergarten through grade 12 (P-12) schools for up to three years. These benchmarking services provide schools with a mechanism to measure, track, and assess their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions to help them better understand their energy usage and to improve energy efficiency and performance.
Provides resources and programs to help P-12 schools lower energy use and utility bills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Offers free Clean Heating and Cooling (CHC) Technology Screenings to eligible schools, to evaluate the installation of ground source heat pumps (GSHP), air source heat pumps (ASHP), or variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.
Provides cost-sharing and direct incentives to help reduce energy loads and assist in the conversion to carbon free fuels. Available to publicly or privately-owned pre-kindergarten through 12th grade schools.

These advanced technology heating systems enable consumers to use local wood pellets and cordwood as fuel in a cleaner way. Technologies include stoves and pellet and cordwood boilers with thermal storage, many of which are made right here in New York State.
Residential Financing offers loan options to help finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements to NY State homeowners.
