Renewables

  • Air Source Heat Pump Installers - Air source heat pumps use the difference between outdoor and indoor air temperatures to keep your home a comfortable temperature all year round. Recent technology advancements in air source heat pumps have made them a strong alternative for space heating in colder regions like New York State. In homes heating with oil and propane air source heat pumps can save money on energy bills and lower your carbon footprint.

  • Commercial/Industrial Commercial Solar Electric (PV) Installers - There are important program requirements and features to be considered before installing a PV system. Understanding how the Solar Electric (PV) Incentive Program works and the importance of choosing and working with a certified, eligible installer are key factors to successfully installing a PV system.
  • Energy Storage Contractors - Work with a participating contractor to install standalone storage, pair it with a solar, or other on-site generation.
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Contractors - Ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems transfers thermal energy between the ground and a building to heat and cool without any harmful emissions or additional fuel.
  • Renewable Heat New York Contractors - RHNY Biomass Boiler installers are qualified to install eligible cordwood boiler and wood pellet boiler systems. Pellet stove installers have different qualifications than cordwood or wood pellet boiler installers and are qualified to install eligible pellet stoves. 
  • Residential/Small Commercial Solar Electric (PV) Installers - There are important program requirements and features to be considered before installing a PV system. Understanding how the Solar Electric (PV) Incentive Program works and the importance of choosing and working with a certified, eligible installer are key factors to successfully installing a PV system.
  • Small Wind Turbine Installers - Eligible installers have been selected based on their experience installing wind systems, training, education, and recommendations from past customers. Installer performance will be continually monitored through inspections, customer feedback, and ability to meet all program terms and conditions.
  • Solar Hot Water (Solar Thermal) Installers -  Eligible Installers are those who have demonstrated technical competence in the Solar Thermal field and who have signed written agreements with NYSERDA.

Tenants and landlords can work with qualified consultants to identify energy saving opportunities at any point of the lease lifecycle: from space selection and goal setting, to design and construction, occupancy and operations.
  • Community Energy Resource - Your local Community Energy Resource is one of Community Energy Advisors across New York State that can help residents and business reduce their energy use and energy costs and make informed energy decisions. NYSERDA’s partners are dedicated to helping New Yorkers save money and live or work more comfortably.
  • FlexTech Consultant - NYSERDA's FlexTech Program provides New York State commercial, industrial, institutional, government, and not-for-profit sectors with objective and customized information to help customers make informed energy decisions.
  • New Construction Program (NCP) Primary Energy Consultants (PEC) - NYSERDA's Primary Energy Consultants seek to provide project owners with the expertise they need to realize significant energy savings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions in the design and delivery of new construction and gut rehabilitation projects in New York State.
  • Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) Qualified Vendors - NYSERDA prequalifies vendors who can help commercial customers analyze energy usage data and provide, enable, and/or implement actionable items on the basis of the data.
  • Small Commercial Energy Efficiency Lenders - NYSERDA works with lenders across New York State to offer small businesses, not-for-profits and multifamily building owners access to low-interest financing for energy efficiency improvements.
