REV Campus Challenge members can receive exclusive offerings and support through NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program to kick-start and advance campus clean energy efforts. Through this Program, NYSERDA enables REV Campus Challenge members to partner with an energy consultant to gain greater understanding of campus energy usage, identify decarbonization and energy efficiency opportunities, and develop strategies and plans for achieving goals and reducing energy use.
On-site Energy Manager
Covers 75% of costs for hiring a full or part time on-site energy manager to drive energy and operational improvements on campus.
Carbon Neutral Economic Development
Competitive program that supports the planning, design, and installation of economic development projects to operate at net zero energy or net zero carbon performance at the facility-level or community-level.
Commercial & Industrial Carbon Challenge
Competitive program that supports capital investments by large energy users to reduce carbon through energy efficiency, distributed energy, and other clean energy actions.
Workforce Training: Building Operations and Maintenance
Get up to $400,000 to support the implementation of an on-site training program for your facilities and operations staff to enhance their ability to manage buildings in accordance with energy management best practices.
Clean Energy Workforce Development
Supports a broad range of renewable energy and energy efficiency education and training programs.
Commercial New Construction Program
Provides technical and financial support to project teams to identify and install energy efficiency, electrification, and carbon reduction opportunities within carbon neutral ready new construction or substantial renovation projects. NYSERDA also offers Carbon Neutral Portfolio Support through this funding opportunity.
Provides incentives and financing to make solar-generated electricity accessible and affordable. NY-Sun helps reduce the installation costs associated with solar electric systems larger than 200kW.
Strategic Energy Management Program
Offers free training to institutions interested in optimizing energy use through a continuous improvement approach. SEM focuses on changing business practices to enable institutions to reduce energy consumption and waste.
Clean Energy Action Plan
Provides relief and unique offerings to campuses affected by a natural gas constraint.
Truck Voucher Incentive Program (Transition Fleet to Electric)
Provides vouchers, or discounts, for the purchase or lease of all-electric (battery electric or BEV), hydrogen fuel cell electric, plug-in hybrid electric, conventional hybrid electric, or compressed natural gas vehicles when replacing a similar older diesel vehicle.
Charge Ready NY
Offers public and private organizations that install Level 2 EV charging station at public parking facilities, workplaces, and multifamily apartment buildings rebates of $4,000 per charging port.
Drive Clean Rebate
Offers a point-of-sale rebate of up to $2,000 towards the purchase or lease of a new plug-in electric car.
Clean Heating & Cooling Communities
Work with community-based organizations, local governments, and other partners to promote the adoption of clean heating and cooling technologies in your community. Receive grants of up to $200,000 to design and implement multi-year community outreach and education campaigns.
