Comfort Home Program
Improve Your Home’s Comfort With Seal and Insulate Packages
Do you want your family to be more comfortable in your home, lower your energy bills, and get on the path to a clean energy future? Save money and improve your home’s comfort year-round with “seal and insulate” packages. NYSERDA’s Comfort Home Program makes it easy to make smart investments for a more efficient home now and more affordable clean heating options in the future.
As part of the Comfort Home Program, seal and insulate packages are available. These packages are offered by trained and qualified Comfort Home contractors who can help you solve common problems like drafty areas in your home, rooms that are difficult to keep cool in summer, and roof ice damns in winter. Incentives from $2,000 to $3,000 may be available (more details below) for installation of seal and insulate packages, depending on the type of improvements being made.

Save Today and Save Tomorrow
If you are considering updating your home’s heating or cooling system, it is a good idea to seal and insulate first, before investing in new equipment. Taking these upgrades first can offset the cost of new heating and cooling systems by making it possible to heat and cool your home with smaller, less expensive equipment. Less expensive to purchase and less expensive to operate means you save money now and in the future. Your Comfort Home contractor can also provide an estimate for a new heat pump system
or help you find a qualified heat pump installer and available rebates and financing.
If you are not ready to upgrade your equipment right away, sealing and insulating is a good investment for the future that starts paying dividends in smaller energy bills from day one.
Westchester Homeowner Weatherization Projects
Projects in Westchester County may be eligible for additional incentives through the NYSERDA and Con Edison Coordinated Incentive Program [PDF] if they meet the respective program eligibility requirements for Comfort Home and the Con Edison Weather Ready Program. Note that Westchester County residents who aren't eligible for Con Edison's Weather ready Program are eligible for an additional $1,000 incentive for Comfort Home projects.
