Paper Battery Company Closes $3 Million Raise

Paper Battery Company - Troy, NY

June 09, 2014

Paper Battery Co. closed on $3 million in funding led by Caerus Ventures, a West Palm Beach, FL, venture capital firm, and Tylt Lab of Santa Monica, CA. The funding will help the company scale production of its flexible, nearly paper-thin ultracapacitors — called PowerPatch — that can be wrapped around or sit adjacent to a traditional smart phone battery to extend battery life and capabilities, and allowing device manufacturers to use smaller batteries. Paper Battery Co. is developing paper thin batteries that could have applications in computer servers, hybrid cars, solar panels and consumer electronics. This latest investment is in addition to $2 million in private investor funding raised.
