What you build today is New York’s future.
The Buildings of Excellence competition.
The Buildings of Excellence competition is a $40 million competition with monetary awards being given out in each of three rounds. Kicked off in early 2019, the Competition recognizes and rewards the design, construction, and operation of very low- or zero-carbon emitting multifamily buildings.
Buildings of Excellence matters for our future.
Designing and developing environmentally responsible buildings that are good for both business and residents is at the core of this competition. The honorees are visionary architects and developers who take the lead in achieving beautiful, low-carbon buildings that improve our quality of life; and, most importantly, inspire the industry to follow their example toward a low-carbon future. Their buildings are good for the environment, highly profitable, and give businesses a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Winning Projects awarded up to $1 million.
Winners of the BOE competition are going beyond developing beautiful and profitable new buildings, they are establishing a carbon-neutral legacy in the State of New York and leading the clean energy transition.
