Renewable Heat NY

The Renewable Heat NY (RHNY) program provided incentives toward the installed costs of high-efficiency, low-emission wood heating systems for homeowners and businesses not currently using natural gas. As of August 20, 2021 all of the funding for RHNY was fully allocated and no new incentive applications are being accepted.

Benefits of High-Efficiency, Low-Emission Wood Heating Systems

  • New high-efficiency systems are automated and cleaner burning.
  • More efficient combustion means less fuel is required.
  • Incentives help offset the cost of replacing or supplementing existing systems and installing new systems.
