NYSERDA is offering between 20 to 30 percent cost-share incentive for Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) project expenses, including three years of ongoing support from energy experts to help you get the most out of these smart building technologies. Multifamily properties can receive up to $155,000 per site.

How It Works

Ready to create a smarter building? Participating in NYSERDA’s RTEM Program is straightforward and follows five simple steps.

  1. Select an expert. Hire a NYSERDA-qualified Real Time Energy Management Vendor
  2. Obtain a site assessment. Your Vendor will perform an on-site assessment of your buildings to verify that you are eligible to participate in the program.
  3. Submit application. Your vendor will submit an application to the program on your behalf. NYSERDA will review the application to ensure eligibility and confirm the incentives you are eligible to receive.
  4. Install system and earn incentive. Once your application is approved, you will have six months to install the system with your vendor. Once installed, you will receive a NYSERDA 30% cost share incentive for RTEM project expenses, including ongoing support.
  5. Receive ongoing support. Your vendor will provide up to five years of ongoing support to help you get the most out of these technologies.
