Residential Energy Storage Incentives

Battery energy storage can help New Yorkers lower their electricity bills and enhance their resilience to power outages. NYSERDA is offering incentives through the Residential Energy Storage Program for the installation of home battery storage systems by approved contractors.

Note that energy storage incentives for Long Island residents are offered through PSEG Long Island.

How It Works

Find a Contractor

Home battery storage projects must meet the following requirements to qualify for incentives:

• Be sized 25 kilowatts or less
• Be new, permanent, and stationary
• Be installed by a Participating Contractor
