The Energy to Lead Competition

NYSERDA held three rounds of the Energy to Lead competition, which included 82 submissions from 56 private and public colleges and universities. Energy to Lead awarded ten colleges and universities over $11 million for the creation of high impact  clean energy projects focusing on reducing greenhouse gases and combatting climate change. Although the Energy to Lead competition is no longer accepting applications, New York State colleges and universities may apply to NYSERDA’s Commercial & Industrial Carbon Challenge, and Carbon Neutral (formerly Net Zero) for Economic Development. Both are expected to launch in mid-2021 in association with the 2021 Consolidated Funding Application (CFA).
