Benefits of High-Efficiency, Low-Emission Wood Heating Systems
- New high-efficiency systems are automated and cleaner burning.
- More efficient combustion means less fuel is required.
- Incentives help offset the cost of replacing or supplementing existing systems and installing new systems.
The following incentives are available, the individual system type/technology below for more information and participation details.

Qualified Installers/Contractors
The following installers/contractors have demonstrated technical competence in the design and/or installation of Renewable Heat NY eligible technologies and have signed a written Participation Agreement with NYSERDA.
RHNY Training Opportunities
The RHNY program offers on-site, webinar, and online training opportunities.
Manufacturers - Qualify Your Technologies
Wood Pellet Boiler
NYSERDA is seeking to pre-qualify residential and commercial wood pellet boilers up to 2 million Btu/h. Pellet boilers must be fully automatic, low mass (low volume), and have sensors and controls to optimize combustion performance. To be listed as a manufacturer with a NYSERDA-qualified technology, submit information and data as described in the Call for Qualified Wood Pellet Boiler Technologies [PDF] to RHNY@nyserda.ny.gov.
Advanced Cordwood Boiler
NYSERDA is seeking to pre-qualify residential and commercial advanced cordwood boilers. Advanced cordwood boilers must be low mass (low volume) and have sensors and controls to optimize combustion performance. To be listed as a manufacturer with a NYSERDA-qualified technology, submit information and data as described in the Call for Qualified Advanced Cordwood Boiler Technologies [PDF] to RHNY@nyserda.ny.gov.
