Energy to Lead Competition 2017

The REV Campus Challenge is administering the Energy to Lead Competition 2017, which will span the 2017-2018 academic year. NYSERDA will award up to $3 million in this round of the Energy to Lead competition, ranging from $250,000 to $1 million per award, to the colleges or universities with the leading solutions for implementing replicable clean energy projects that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For the purposes of this competition, clean energy is inclusive of energy efficiency, energy conservation, and renewable energy.

Proposals must be submitted by a REV Campus Challenge member institution. Not a REV Campus Challenge member? Becoming a member is easy – Join Now

How does it work?

Proposal teams are encouraged to think of ways to plan, fund, and implement projects that increase impact, student leadership and involvement, and community engagement. Your project should focus on clean energy solutions: that means incorporating energy efficiency, energy conservation, and/or renewable energy. Your approach should be unique and pragmatic, while maximizing your energy savings impact in a replicable way. Proposals should utilize commercially viable clean energy technologies.

How do I apply?

Proposals are due by January 29, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
