GJGNY Loan Fund Residential Advance Payment Contractor

NYSERDA administers the Green Jobs - Green New York (GJGNY) Loan Fund for Residential Financing (the GJGNY Loan Fund) which was authorized by Title 9-A of Article 8 of the Public Authorities Law of the State of New York, as amended (known as the Green Jobs-Green New York Act) to finance energy audits and energy efficiency retrofits or improvements, including solar energy and other renewable installations, for the owners of residential 1-4 family buildings (GJGNY Loan).

As part of NYSERDA’s role as administrator of the GJGNY Loan Fund, NYSERDA will provide participating Contractors with an advance payment when an energy efficiency or renewable project is financed, in whole or in part, with a reduced interest rate (3.49%/3.99%) GJGNY Loan.

  • NY-Sun
  • Renewable Heat New York
  • GJGNY Residential Financing for market rate energy efficiency customers

Follow this process to become a Participating Contractor.

Step 1: Become a Participating Contractor in an Eligible NYSERDA Program

Visit NYSERDA’s Become a Contractor webpage to learn how your company can partner with NYSERDA in one of the programs listed above.

Step 2: Become an Energy Finance Solutions Participating Contractor

To become a Participating Contractor, you will need to also become a Participating Contractor with Energy Financing Solutions (“EFS”). EFS, a not-for-profit energy efficiency lending organization, was competitively selected by NYSERDA to provide residential financing services. EFS reviews applications and originates loans pursuant to underwriting criteria established by NYSERDA. EFS closes on the loan, disburses proceeds to the Participating Contractor from a cash advance pool provided by NYSERDA to EFS, and then submits the loan to NYSERDA’s loan servicer. The EFS participation agreement and other information can be found at http://www.energyfinancesolutions.com/forcontractors-documents-formsLink opens in new window - close new window to return to this page..

Read the current GJGNY Residential Loan Fund Residential Advance Payment Program Contractor Participation Agreement in its entirety. To apply for participation, you will need to complete the Participation Agreement Signature Form . NYSERDA will contact you within 2 weeks of your application to confirm if you have been accepted or not.
