Project Description

The ipHaus at 722 Lafayette Avenue is a 4 story, 5,014 square foot modular multifamily development in Brooklyn that leverages high-performance prefabricated construction to dramatically reduce build time, CO₂ emissions, and on-site disruption that will provide 4 market rate units. Designed for rapid deployment and all-electric, low-carbon operation, the project achieves increased building energy performance with a 44% reduction in CO₂ emissions while remaining cost-competitive with conventional construction. The project will utilize air source heat pumps and a solar photovoltaic system with battery storage. This project demonstrates a replicable, scalable model for urban infill housing that meets New York City’s climate and housing goals without compromising design or affordability.
