Project Description
Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA) Seaview is a 180,598 square foot new construction project located in Rockaway, Queens, that will provide 256 affordable ultra-energy-efficient dwelling units and high-quality amenity spaces for low-income senior citizens across 18 stories. The project is located within an existing senior housing campus comprised of five residential buildings and a senior center making use of an underutilized parking lot. Designed to Passive House International certification standards the project will utilize a high-performance envelope, ground source heat pump, solar photovoltaic system with battery storage and centralized energy recovery ventilation with integrated common spaces including outdoor terraces, PACE center and greenhouse strengthening ties to the larger community.
