Project Description
Hillside – North Building is a 170,037 square foot new construction project in Jamaica, Queens. Rising 14 stories this project will provide 173 affordable homes including set-aside units for formerly homeless individuals and approximately 12,000 square feet of community-serving retail. Designed to Passive House International certification standards it will feature a high-performance envelope, solar photovoltaic system, centralized energy recovery ventilation, black-water source heat pump and rooftop green space with rainwater harvesting. The project strengthens the Hillside Avenue corridor, a transit-oriented area with access to subway, bus, and rail lowering household costs while providing a new neighborhood anchor.
