Storage Data Maps

 

Energy storage will play a crucial role in meeting our State’s ambitious goals. New York's nation-leading Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act) calls for 70 percent of the State's electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030 and 3,000 MW of energy storage by 2030. Below are three sources to explore the State’s installed storage.

Statewide Storage Projects 
Gain a holistic view of the storage installed in New York State. Discover installed capacity, number of projects, and annual trends data by storage type and sector (residential, commercial, and grid-scale) for completed projects including those that did not receive State funding since 2000.

Obtain a review of solar, storage, and other DER generation projects in New York State that received funding through NYSERDA. This dataset also includes detailed information each of the operational storage projects in New York. Access data as aggregated summaries or as granular performance data from individual projects. Projects can be filtered by location, facility category, or technology type.
