BR Caswell Road Solar
The Build-Ready Program is advancing a solar PV and battery energy storage project on the Caswell Landfill, a publicly owned solid waste complex located in the Town of Dryden in Tompkins County. The landfill opened in 1970 and took in an average of 29,400 tons of waste per year until its closure in 1985. The Build-Ready Program has secured site control and is progressing permitting and interconnection. The Program is also working to engage with the host community to inform the project design and host community benefit package as well as the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency on the project’s payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreement.
