LL97 is part of New York City’s Climate legislation passed in 2019, a group of local laws aimed at mitigating the effects of greenhouse gas emissions from buildings. LL97 establishes emissions regulations on buildings over 25,000 sq. ft. that are subject to benchmarking.

Receive Incentives for High Performance Equipment Installations

NYSERDA Incentives 

  • Multifamily Performance Program (MPP): Affordable housing properties* can access incentives up to $3,500 per dwelling unit to help lower the cost of energy-saving upgrades
    (Limited time changes through 12/31/2020 – Receive incentives earlier in your project’s timeline, other requirements relaxed)
  • NY-Sun: Receive $.40 per watt through a NY-Sun approved contractor when you install a solar system. Affordable properties can receive $1.00 per watt.

Utility Incentives

  • Check with your local utility for additional incentives and technical assistance for market-rate and affordable properties
  • Enhanced heat pump incentives: Heat pump incentives are available through your utility

Real-Team Energy Management (RTEM): Gain actionable insights on to how operate your building more efficiently, avoid unexpected breakdowns, and stay compliant. NYSERDA will cost share 30% of all eligible costs up front.

On-Site Energy Manager: Offers a 75% cost-share for multifamily buildings to hire a dedicated, full-time on-site energy manager
