New York State Programs & Incentives
C&I Carbon Challenge—Competition for large businesses (with a 12-month average electricity demand of 10 MW) to unlock highly cost-effective carbon reduction opportunities. NYSERDA will award up to $10 million, ranging from $2 million to $5 million per successful proposal. Awardees will continue to work with NYSERDA to update, refine, and implement their carbon reduction strategies over three years. Learn more.

Fuel Cell (Stationary) Program—Financial incentives of up to $1 million to support new installations of stationary fuel systems. To qualify, the nameplate capacity must be greater than 25 kW with an intended operating capacity factor of 50 percent or greater. Learn more.

Distributed Generation Rebates—Rebates offset the cost of a feasibility study to see whether a combined heat and power or fuel cell system is right for a business. Qualifying combined heat and power projects are eligible for up to $2 million in rebates, and qualifying fuel cell projects are eligible for up to $1 million in rebates. Learn more.
Geothermal Rebates—Rebates for installing an energy-efficient, properly sized geothermal system. Projects are subject to pre- and post-installation inspection. Learn more.
