Prevailing Wage Adder

Solar PV projects 1MW AC and greater in capacity that received an NY-Sun base incentive or SEEF Block award, and are subject to prevailing wage requirements, may be eligible for the NY-Sun Prevailing Wage Adder. Eligible projects may include:

• Projects whose initial utility interconnection application was submitted after April 14, 2022
• Projects that received an award for NY-Sun incentives on or after July 1, 2024
• Projects whose initial utility interconnection application was submitted before April 14, 2022 that elected to opt-in to receive a prevailing wage adder

Eligible projects in the Con Edison region receive an adder of $0.20 per Watt and eligible projects in the Upstate region receive an adder of $0.125 per Watt. Projects in the PSEG-Long Island service territory are not eligible.

NY-Sun Program funding is expected to meet all eligible projects’ Prevailing Wage Adder needs throughout the remainder of SEEF Block 2 and the ConEd Nonresidential MW Blocks. Contractors will be notified of any changes.
