NYSERDA Transportation program supports both research and development (R&D) of advanced technologies and the deployment of newly emerged products, and improve the performance of the State's transportation sector. The Program is designed to promote business development, protect the environment, increase energy reliability, and enhance a competitive-transportation energy market. The program funds projects that enhance mobility, improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and diversify transportation methods and fuels. Once developed, the program provides incentives to accelerate the market introduction of these emerging products and innovations through its Alternative Fuel for Vehicles (AFV) and transportation technology deployment programs.
NYSERDA funds its projects through competitive solicitations, which are issued periodically throughout each year. Check NYSERDA Funding Opportunities for the latest information on past, current and planned solicitations.
The Transportation and Power Systems staff are available to provide assistance and answer questions regarding NYSERDA program opportunities. Full staff contact information can be found at: Clean Energy Research and Market Development.
