  In an age of rising energy costs and increased calls for reducing greenhouse gases, energy efficiency is a high priority. NYSERDA's focus on colleges and universities indentifies incentives for public and private institutions to reduce their energy usage.
• Commercial Kitchens
  NYSERDA helps restaurant owners and managers of non-profits to find ways of reducing energy costs within their commercial kitchens, including capital purchases that reduce their energy and water use and costs.
• Commercial Real Estate
  NYSERDA's Focus on Commercial Real Estate Program (CRE) is New York State's new business-focused initiative to enable commercial building owners, managers, and tenants to maximize the returns of going green.
• Geothermal Heat Pumps
  Geothermal heat pumps transfer heat between the constant temperature of the earth and the building to maintain a building's interior space conditions. Though currently NYSERDA does not provide specific incentives for Geothermal Heat Pumps in residential buildings, incentives may be available for qualifying projects under the Residential Loan Fund].

  Focus on Healthcare is an initiative designed to assist the healthcare industry to reduce energy costs and improve the environment while enhancing the treatment of patients. The program provides hospital and nursing home operators with a single point of entry to access NYSERDA programs and helps them improve their organizations’ energy performance.
• Industrial and Process Efficiency - Data Centers
  The Industrial and Process Efficiency (IPE) Program offers performance based incentives to help data center owners and operators offset the cost of investments in energy efficiency and IT productivity projects in their data centers.
• Manufacturers
  NYSERDA is helping manufactures throughout New York State to operate more efficiently, manage costs effectively and improve product quality while reducing energy pricing risks.
• Municipal Water and Wastewater Facilities
  Water and wastewater treatment facilities in New York State consume more than 3 billion kWh of electricity per year. Through a variety of programs, NYSERDA encourages municipalities to adopt commercially-available and innovative technologies to improve the energy efficiency and economics of their treatment facilities.
• National Fuel Customers
  National Fuel's Conservation Incentive Program (CIP) offers customers valuable information on energy conservation and real-time savings opportunities, including rebates for both residential and small non-residential customers and no-cost natural gas energy efficiency services for low-income customers.
• New York K-12 Energy $mart^SM School Program
  A productive learning environment is a safe and comfortable space. It has an abundance of natural light, ventilation, efficient equipment, and sustainable operations that increase comfort while saving money. Through NYSERDA, school districts throughout the New York State have access to programs that offer information, and financial incentives to make schools healthier and a more productive learning environments.

  NYSERDA works with consumers, businesses, municipalities, and research institutions to develop clean-energy solutions, increase energy efficiency, protect the environment, and save money.
• State Facilities and Vehicles
  Executive Orders approved by the Governor of New York continues the state's leadership as one the most aggressive in the nation to address energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building practices, and alternate fuel vehicles.
