Agriculture Disaster Program
The Agriculture Disaster Program is available to assist farms and on-farm producers in New York State damaged by Hurricane Irene and/or Tropical Storm Lee. Many New York State farms sustained significant damage by the recent storms and existing aid is primarily focused on crops and soil conservation. NYSERDA opportunities currently available for the agriculture sector include:
FlexTech Farm Energy Audits help farms better understand energy needs and identify and prioritize energy efficiency opportunities
NYSERDA will:
- Fund the full cost of an energy audit, up to $1,500
- Assign a FlexTech Consultant to perform the energy audit
- Offer 50-50 cost-sharing option to help you defray some of the expense for complex audits exceeding $1,500
- Assign the NYSERDA FlexTech Consultant to work with the farm to determine the audit's scope of work and budget
- Oversee the FlexTech Consultant’s progress and be available to address questions during the audit

Implementation Incentives:
Through the Existing Facilities Program, NYSERDA offers incentives for a variety of energy projects. Pre-Qualified incentives are available for lighting, motors, variable speed drives and more. Larger, more complex projects that meet a project minimum size are able to access incentives through Performance Based incentives and are determined on a per kWh or per mmBTU savings basis.
