New York State Programs & Incentives

Commercial New Construction Program—Technical and financial support to analyze efficiency opportunities for new or substantially renovated commercial buildings. Additional support is available for projects that are being designed for deep energy savings or zero net energy, and for projects that incorporate smart building technologies. Learn more.

Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)— Businesses can access IRA tax credits for energy efficiency investments in commercial building retrofits or new construction projects, including building envelope upgrades. Learn more.

Custom Energy Efficiency Programs (New York City and Long Island)—Incentives and support for energy efficiency upgrades in existing buildings, including envelope measures in existing buildings, upgraded efficiency in the design of new construction projects, and support for efficiency in expansions of existing commercial facilities.
