SenCer Enters Joint Venture to Develop Ultra High-Temp Composites

SenCer - Penn Yan, NY

February 09, 2012

SenCer has partnered in a joint venture with GreenCell to develop a ceramic composite material called UltraTemp based on combinations of ceramic fiber/ceramic matrix material. In developing the product, several blends of high purity oxide and carbide chemistries have been formulated. These materials have shown excellent thermal stability for temperatures as high as 1800⁰C. Such characteristics make products developed by UltraTemp a great fit for applications such as fuel cells, medical equipment, and automotive uses in addition to commercial and household appliances.

SenCer has been awarded $800,000 by NYSERDA for demonstrating their technology in highly-efficient furnaces at multiple customer sites.
