Affordable Solar Predevelopment and Technical Assistance (PON 3414)

Affordable Solar Predevelopment and Technical Assistance will provide up to a total of $3,600,000 to address barriers to solar installations serving low-to-moderate income (LMI) households living in rental housing, multifamily buildings, or other households not served by traditional onsite residential solar.

Air-Source Heat Pump Program (PON 3653)

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has made up to $10.95 million available to support the installation of air-source heat pump (ASHP) systems in residential sites to include single-family and multifamily buildings. Clean Energy Communities Program (PON 3298)

Construction & Back-Leveraged Financing for Ground-Mounted Solar (RFP 7)

Due Date:  Continuous

NY Green Bank’s RFP 7 is targeted at developers of photovoltaic (PV) solar projects selling to commercial, industrial and other institutional organizations (C&I) in New York State which plan to utilize third-party tax equity and seek back-leveraged financing for projects that: (1) generate revenue by selling net metering credits (or eqivalents) to C&I power users under applicable laws, regulations or administrative proceedings; (2) use Tier-1 Technology; (3) are in the advanced stage of development; and (4) are ground-mounted, canopy-mounted and non-residential rooftop PV solar projects.

Construction and Aggregation-to-Term Financing for CDG Solar Projects (RFP 10)

NY Green Bank’s RFP 10 is targeted at developers and/or owners of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects that: (i) are in advanced stages of development; (ii) form part of the Community Distributed Generation Program; (iii) are compensated under the Value of Distributed Energy Resources Phase One Tariff, (iv) comply with all applicable provisions established under the Uniform Business Practices for Distributed Energy Resource Suppliers; (v) generate power using Tier 1 technology; (vi) earn revenue by selling volumetric or monetary credits to project members under revenue contracts; and (vii) are 500 KW to 2 MW in size, ground-mounted, canopy-mounted or non-residential rooftop PV solar projects at a single location.

Demonstrating Distributed Energy Storage for ‘Stacking’ Customer and Grid Values (PON 3541)

Drive Clean Rebate (PON 3405)

Due Date:  Continuous

The Drive Clean Rebate offers New York State residents a point-of-sale rebate of up to $2,000 towards the purchase or lease of a new electric car. Eligible vehicles include all-electric cars, plug-in hybrid electric cars, and fuel cell electric cars. Rebates are provided directly by car dealers and are taken off the purchase or lease price of the car. Car buyers do not have to apply, they simply make sure that their car dealer includes the rebate amount in their purchase. Flexible Energy Technical Analysis (RFQL 3685)

Multifamily Building Solutions Network (PON 3280)

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is seeking applications from seasoned experts in building science and energy efficiency that perform energy use analyses, building performance assessments, whole building software modeling, work scope development, design document review, installation verification, and oversight of project progress. New Construction Initiatives Support Services (RFP 3771)

Due Date:  Continuous

NYSERDA is accepting applications from firms capable of delivering energy modeling and analysis, building commissioning, third party quality assurance, smart building services, and advanced building facilitation services, including, but not limited to: Integrated Project Delivery consulting, Passive House consulting, and Zero Net Energy consulting services. Approved firms will deliver assigned services to building owners, developers, and leaseholders. NYSERDA seeks to provide project owners with the expertise they need to realize significant energy savings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions in the design and delivery of new construction and gut rehabilitation projects in New York State. RetrofitNY (RFP 3750)

Due Date:  Continuous

Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), NYSERDA will qualify: 1) Solution Provider Teams to design high-performance retrofit solutions that approach or achieve net-zero energy performance for affordable multifamily buildings, and 2) affordable housing multifamily buildings that meet program requirements for being retrofitted with these solutions. Applications for Teams and Buildings will be submitted separately and qualified by separate Scoring Committees. Qualified Teams and Owners of qualified Buildings will then pair up and submit a Joint Project Application to NYSERDA. Contracts will be awarded to qualified Team/Building pairs on a first come, first served basis, with $75,000 awarded to the Solution Provider Team Prime Contractor for the design of the retrofit solution. Buildings for which a retrofit design is completed may also be eligible for project funding through a separate solicitation NYSERDA plans to issue for the construction and implementation of the prototype retrofits. Solution Provider Teams qualified through this RFP will also be eligible to respond to a separate RFP expected to be issued Spring 2018 by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to design and build high-performance retrofit solutions for buildings in their portfolio.

The New York Truck-Voucher Incentive Program (NYT-VIP)

The New York Truck-Voucher Incentive Program (NYT-VIP) is a streamlined program combining funding from three different sources and is designed to continue to expand the use of Diesel Emissions Control Device (DECD) equipment, compressed natural gas (CNG), battery electric hybrid, and fully battery electric medium- and heavy-duty trucks which reduce harmful emissions and the State’s dependence on foreign petroleum. NY-Sun Commercial / Industrial Incentive Program (PON 3082)

Due Date:  12/29/2023

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers performance-based incentives for the installation of new grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) systems greater than 200 kW that offset the use of grid-supplied electricity. PV systems must be sized primarily to serve project load. Funding for the NY-Sun Commercial/Industrial (>200 kW) Program has been allocated as part of the Clean Energy Fund with additional funding made available through the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) for New York State (NYS) electricity customers and the Order Authorizing the Clean Energy Fund Framework, dated January 21, 2016. Incentives will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through December 29, 2023, or until funds are fully committed, whichever comes first. Incentives available are subject to change.

The Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Program provides incentives for the installation of CHP systems through PON 2568, which supports an accelerated procurement process where customers select from a set of pre-approved, pre-engineered CHP modules supplied by approved CHP Vendors (the Catalog Approach) or the more traditional design/build procurement process specifically for larger customers that are not adequately met by the Catalog Approach (the Custom Approach).

NYSERDA has launched its second annual request for proposals to help accelerate progress towards the Clean Energy Standard: for 50% of New York State's electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030. Through the 2018 solicitation, NYSERDA seeks to purchase Tier 1 Renewable Energy Certificates associated with electricity generated from eligible facilities that enter commercial operation on or after January 1, 2015 and on or before November 30, 2020, unless extended to November 30, 2022.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is issuing this solicitation to establish a pool of qualified firms, companies, or organizations (including teaming arrangements) to provide program design, analysis, and support for innovative initiatives across the Authority. Qualified entities must demonstrate technical and market expertise in the following categories: Category A: Net Zero Energy and carbon-based energy codes, and Net Zero Energy design and construction, to support policy and code development, implementation, and enablement; Category B: Development of and compliance with product and appliance efficiency standards; Category C: Development of web-based applications and data assets to support clean energy customer acquisition, value proposition development and related services; Category D: Development of web-based data sharing and application development platforms and data analytics that can be applied to clean energy markets; and Category E: “Intelligent Efficiency” and building energy systems networking.
