  • The following organizations and resources can help campuses further faculty and staff clean energy education.

    • The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) offers a seminar called Sustainability Strategies for Colleges, Universities and Campus Environments which provides approaches to applying best energy and environmental practices. The energy centered maintenance (ECM) program is designed to be an important part of the organization's overall operation and maintenance program. ECM offers measures to prevent or significantly reduce energy waste from equipment or components.
    • Building Owners and Managers Association of New York offers courses such as Fundamentals of Facilities Management and the Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems for real property administrators, facilities management administrator and others.
    • The CUNY Performance Lab also offers training courses related to building energy efficiency.
    • The NYC Carbon Challenge Handbook for Universities and Hospitals combines the best practices that participants have used to achieve significant GHG reductions in their buildings. It highlights 15 success stories of Challenge participants through case studies and identifies potential pathways to achieve deeper reductions.
    • The Urban Green Building Council provides information and registration opportunities to obtain a LEED professional credential.
