    NYSERDA hosted four public open houses specifically focusing on fish and fisheries. These open houses provided fisheries stakeholders with an opportunity to learn about the New York State Offshore Wind Master Plan, and provided an opportunity for NYSERDA to learn about the individuals and vessels fishing in the offshore waters of New York.

    New York City Public Information Meetings, August 14-16, 2017
    NYSERDA hosted public information meetings in New York City to provide information on the New York Offshore Wind Master Plan process, and offer the public an opportunity to ask NYSERDA representatives questions. These meetings were open to the public and took place in the following locations:

    Marine Resource Advisory Council Meeting, East Setauket, NY, January 17, 2017
    The Marine Resource Advisory Council held a public meeting where NYSERDA was part of the formal agenda and presented a "NYS Offshore Wind Master Plan" presentation and conducted a questions and answers session for approximately 30 minutes. The general topics were: an introduction to offshore wind, what offshore wind means for New York, and an introduction to the offshore wind Master Planning process.
