  • ORECRFP18-1 Proposers Conference, November 29, 2018

    NYSERDA hosted a conference for proposers via webinar on Thursday November 29, 2018. This webinar provided proposers with the opportunity to ask questions regarding the RFP and reviewed elements of the RFP including background information, eligibility criteria, submission requirements, the proposal evaluation process, contract commitments, and the post-award process and agreement.

    New York Offshore Wind Supplier Forum, November 15, 2018

    The Offshore Wind Supplier Forum, sponsored by NYSERDA, facilitated the introduction of offshore wind developers and suppliers to local companies that are potential suppliers and service providers to the budding offshore wind industry. Developers and suppliers from companies such as Bladt, Deepwater Wind, EEW, Equinor, Fred Olsen, GE, JDR Cable, MHI Vestas, Ørsted, Siemens Gamesa, Smulders, US Wind, Ventower, and Vineyard Wind were in attendance. Keynote presentations were made from New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and NYSERDA President and CEO Alicia Barton.

In addition to a public open house and poster session, the Workshop featured sessions on marine systems and the offshore wind development process, marine mammals, sea turtles, fish, fish habitat, birds, and bats. Workshop speakers included representatives from the Belgian Royal Institute for Natural Sciences, Joint Nature Conservation Commission, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, NOAA, the Department of Energy, Deepwater Wind, Ørsted, Fugro, Wildlife Conservation Society, and the Virginia Aquarium. These meetings included a presentation and Q&A, and an opportunity to ask questions of New York State and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management government representatives.
