2013 American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Industry

Participants from around the world will gather for these three days to discuss technical, policy, and program issues related to increasing energy efficiency in industry. Presentations and discussions will relate to the theme “Thinking Forward: Leadership in a Global Marketplace.”
2013 marks the 10th biennial ACEEE Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Industry conference. Francis J. Murray, Jr., NYSERDA President and CEO, will welcome attendees on Tuesday, July 23rd during the opening plenary. Formal and informal sessions will focus on the roles and themes critical to moving forward in these uncertain times. The panels are organized around key stakeholder groups with focus on their roles and opportunities. Themes running through the sessions will include: innovative energy technology systems and methods; emerging energy market impacts and opportunities; technology development; planning for the next generation; global competitiveness; state, utilities and national programs and policies.
Angela Mu, Project Manager for NYSERDA, will host an informal session on Wednesday, July 24th from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. entitled NYSERDA Opportunities for Industry. Please join Angela to learn about the incentives NYSERDA provides to help New York manufactures and data centers make energy efficiency improvements that measurably reduce energy costs.
Site tours to General Motors and Olin Chlor Alkali Products, organized by NYSERDA, are scheduled for Thursday, July 25th from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tours are limited to 20 people and require electronic sign up by July 22, 2013. There will be no sign-ups on site.
