Flexible Technical Assistance (FlexTech) Program

REV Campus Challenge members can receive exclusive offerings and support through NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program to kick-start their campus clean energy efforts. Through this Program, NYSERDA enables REV Campus Challenge members to partner with an energy consultant to gain greater understanding of campus energy usage and develop strategies for managing and reducing on-campus energy.

Note: The Technical Assistance for Roadmaps Program (PON 3438) expired 12/31/19 and is no longer accepting applications. Going forward, NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program (PON 4192) can provide technical assistance to REV Campus Challenge members.

How It Works

NYSERDA will provide financial support to REV Campus Challenge members to assist with hiring a third-party energy consultant to evaluate existing campus energy conditions and establish an action plan for addressing campus energy needs.

Financial support will vary, depending on the cost of the technical assistance. For most projects, NYSERDA will contribute up to 60% of project costs. A list of eligible cost-shared services and examples of eligible projects are available here.

Applicants may use their own energy consultant, or may choose from NYSERDA’s list of FlexTech Consultants. Learn more about the FlexTech Program and view the current list of FlexTech Consultants.

How to Apply

Visit the FlexTech Program to apply. Colleges and universities must be REV Campus Challenge members to be eligible for FlexTech. Read the program funding opportunity for more information.
