The Multifamily New Construction Program (MF NCP) offers technical assistance and financial incentives to developers of mid- and high-rise multifamily projects to encourage and support the design and construction of advanced clean energy buildings, and up to and inclusive of net zero energy performance.

Modified Prescriptive Path

For projects pursuing the Modified Prescriptive Path (MoPP), the completed Modified Prescriptive Path Calculator - V1 [XLMS] must be included within the Stage 1 and Stage 3 submittal packages. This calculator includes a checklist intended to confirm that all Modified Prescriptive Path Requirements and ENERGY STAR MFHR Testing & Verification Protocols are met. It also calculates estimated savings based on project‐specific data.

The submittal must show that the project achieves the performance target and meets the requirements described in the Modified Prescriptive Path Requirements and ENERGY STAR MFHR Testing & Verification Protocol.

Passive Building Performance Plan (BPP) ECCC NYS 2016

For project pursuing certifications by following the Passive House Institute U.S. and Passive House Institute under the 2016 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS 2016), the completed Passive Building Performance Plan (BPP) ECCC NYS 2016 [XLMS] must be included within the Stage 1 and Stage 3 submittal packages. For projects following the Passive House Institute standard, this document should also be used at the Open Wall submittal (Stage 2) in place of the Testing and Verification Worksheets. The Passive Building Performance Plan (BPP) - ECCC NYS 2016 is the comprehensive reporting tool generated, populated and submitted to NYSERDA. General information about the project, as well as details regarding the project’s scope of work and achievement of the performance target are confirmed through submission of this Plan.

Smart Buildings

The Multifamily New Construction Program (MF NCP) offers targeted incentives to support the installation of Smart Building Solutions for participating projects, as detailed in section 2.2.4 of PON 3716. Eligibility criteria and documentation requirements are summarized in Smart Building Deliverables PON 3716 [PDF].
