NYS Clean Heat
The NYS Clean Heat program encourages residents, small businesses, and commercial and multifamily building owners to install cold climate air source heat pumps (ASHP) and energy efficient ground source heat pumps (GSHP) and heat pump water heaters (HPWH). Incentives are available to consumers as well as participating contractors.

Renewable Heat NY
To qualify for a Renewable Heat NY (RHNY) financial incentive, the system must be installed by a contractor who has demonstrated technical competence in the design and installation of high-efficiency, low-emission wood heating equipment.
NYSERDA is qualifying the following types of installers:
- Small Biomass Boiler Contractors to install advanced cordwood boilers with thermal storage, and small pellet boilers with thermal storage
- Residential Pellet Stove Contractors to install pellet stoves
Installers must have completed manufacturer’s training for the boiler brand they are installing. View the available training schedule and additional training resources.
