ENERGY STAR Homes provide homeowners with comfortable, durable, environmentally friendly homes that are cost-effective to own and operate. Proven technologies and advanced building practices that ensure your home is energy efficient. ENERGY STAR Homes use less energy than conventionally built homes.

Green Homes (up to 11-unit buildings)

Green homes are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:

  • Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
  • Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
  • Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation

Homeowners that are looking to go beyond energy-efficiency should ask their builders about a green home.
