PON 2309 -2011 New York ENERGY STAR® Homes

Description

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers the New York ENERGY STAR Homes Program to encourage voluntary adoption of progressive building practices among professional homebuilders and developers while stimulating permanent consumer demand for dwellings that are significantly more energy-efficient than code-built homes. The objectives are to utilize sound building science principles to cost-effectively reduce energy consumption, while simultaneously addressing health issues pertaining to indoor air pollutants (focusing on carbon monoxide and others associated with combustion appliances) as well as appropriate ventilation and moisture control in newly constructed low-rise residential structures.
