Implementing Smart Growth Practices
To help take initiatives beyond planning and into actual development, NYSERDA anticipates issuing a second competitive grant request for proposals in 2013. This Implementation Phase of the Cleaner, Greener Communities Program will award a total of up to $90 million in grants to projects identified during the planning process that provide the greatest opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save energy and deploy renewable energy, while improving the economic and environmental health of our communities.
