This organization was created to mobilize national resources in photovoltaics through research and development, promoting partnering and growth opportunities, and serving as a forum and information source for the photovoltaics community. This website focuses on solar energy as a power source, with links to various projects that are being developed as well as detailed technical descriptions of past projects.
New York State Solar Energy Industry Association
This association is a New York trade association for solar energy companies. The website contains information about how to join the group, and allows participation in the many programs aimed at enhancing the use of solar energy. For non-members there are still many links that outline the benefits of solar energy as well as a listing of New York State programs that offer incentives to users of solar energy systems.
North Carolina Solar Center
This organization serves as a clearinghouse for solar and other renewable energy programs, and offers information, research, technical assistance, and training for the residents of North Carolina and for others. This website contains links to informational sources of an educational nature for teachers and interested students, outlining the many different uses for renewable energy, and offers news items pertaining to various renewable energy programs around the world.

Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC) is an organization that administers certification, and a rating and labeling program for all solar systems. This site is useful for companies wishing to have a system design certified by the corporation. The site offers a set of standards and ratings that will be used to certify the design as well as companies that are participating in the program.

U.S. Department of Energy Million Solar Roofs Program
The U.S. Department of Energy Million Solar Roofs Program is an initiative to facilitate the installation of solar energy systems on one million U.S. buildings by 2010. The site provides guidelines for participation in the program that allow the participants to receive federal grants to subsidize the cost of installing a solar energy system.
