NYSERDA's Saratoga Technology + Energy Park (STEP) is a 280-acre site located in Malta, New York
, master-planned for 1.25 million square feet of office, lab, and light manufacturing. STEP is the home of Hudson Valley Community College's TEC-SMART facility and the administrative offices of GLOBALFOUNDRIES. GLOBALFOUNDRIES semiconductor manufacturing facility, located at the adjacent Luther Forest Technology Campus
, is currently the largest economic development project in the country.
More than a physical site, STEP is a knowledge community with significant resources for clean-energy and environmental companies looking for a strategic location to build and grow in the heart of New York's Tech Valley. In addition, NYSERDA offers programs, services, partnerships, and amenities to support the success of companies located at STEP and their employees.
STEP is owned and sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), a public benefit corporation of the State of New York.
