Saratoga Technology + Energy Park (STEP)
A knowledge community for clean energy businesses, STEP is a critical catalyst in helping to develop Tech Valley’s potential as a force in the clean energy economy.
In 1975 NYSERDA assumed ownership of the property and changed the site's mission to that of clean-energy research and development.
STEP seeks to foster clean-energy and environmental technologies and job growth through a fully integrated knowledge community in an eco-friendly setting.
STEP is designed to be a sustainable community. It is approved for 1.25 million sq.ft. of mixed-use space on a campus that will maintain 77% of its greenspace.
An important goal of NYSERDA is to develop well-designed, minimum LEEDTM-certified buildings at STEP that can serve as models for other technology parks.
Acquaint yourself with our community of clean-energy, environmental and sustainable technology companies.

NYSERDA staff and the site developers will work with you to customize a build-to-suit facility according to your needs or identify space in our current facility.
STEP is situated in the Capital Region of New York State, a historic crossroads that is a great place for both your company and your family.
STEP distinguishes itself from other locations by providing unique and targeted services, amenities and collaboration opportunities.
Economic programs and incentives are offered by various entities to support energy-efficient environmental solutions and economic development at STEP.
The goals of the STEP are shared by a wide-variety of federal, state, and organizations and programs that can facilitate your success through our programs.
The tentants of the Saratoga Technology + Energy Park can provide career and training opportunities in clean energy, sustainability, and high tech fields.
The STEP Team will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the Park.
STEP is situated on a wooded suburban campus in the Capital District of New York that is conveniently situated and is easy to get to.
