Working Groups

  • 1–4 Family Buildings Working Group
    A 1–4 Family Home Working Group assists in establishing a sliding scale for the cost of the energy audit based on income; connecting communities members through the use of Community Based Organizations (CGO’s) to the program (including connecting contractors to those members) maintaiing a cost effective criteria for GJGNY projects, and setting standards based on building type and other relevant considerations.
  • Multifamily Working Group
    A Multifamily Working Group has been established to assist in the development of the loan limits, rules and standards for serving multifamily structures as called for in the Green Jobs–Green New York Bill. This Working Group also will be asked to help establish a program Operating Plan for this market sector, which will include a budget and schedule.
  • Small Commercial and Not–for–Profit Working Group
    The Small Business/Not–for–profit (SmallBiz/NFP) Working Group will explore and develop program elements that lead small businesses and not–for–profits to implement energy efficiency improvements, commercial audit standards and delivery of audit services.
  • Workforce Development Working Group
    The Workforce Working Group is being established to assist in the development of the Workforce Training Initiatives indentified in the Green Jobs–Green New York Act. The Working Group will also be asked to help establish a program Operating Plan, which will include a budget and schedule.
  • Outreach Working Group
    The Green Jobs–Green New York (GJGNY) Bill calls for an Outreach Working Group to assist in outreach, enrollment, and other related program support services. This working group develops a plan to reach individuals seeking workforce assistance, and a plan for marketing to homeowners, and businesses looking for energy efficiency programs.
