Energy efficiency and productivity improvements are proven investments for manufacturers. They decrease your costs, improve product quality, reduce energy pricing risks, engage your employees, reduce your carbon footprint and demonstrate responsible business practices. NYSERDA had been helping NY’s manufactures operate more efficiently and cost effectively since 1975.
Eligible sites include:
Manufacturing facilities, or support operations such as warehousing and distribution sites. Example industries include Plastics and Packaging, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Metals, Paper and Pulp, Transportation, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Mining and Mineral Processing, General Manufacturing and Equipment Manufacturers.

NYSERDA assists manufacturers through the following programs:
FlexTech
Provides cost sharing to conduct energy studies, develop energy master plans, perform lean assessments and evaluate potential process improvements.
Industrial and Process Efficiency
Provides performance based incentives to offset the cost of investments in energy efficiency and productivity projects at existing manufacturing sites.
New Construction Program (NCP)
Provides performance based incentives to offset the cost of investments in energy efficiency and productivity projects at newly constructed or substantially renovated manufacturing sites.
Research and Development
Provides funding to develop and demonstrate cutting edge technology.
