The 2000 regional LIFE meetings took place in five cities throughout New York State including Albany, New York City, Lake Placid, Buffalo, and Binghamton. In total, there were 115 attendees at the meetings including speakers and participants. Participants attended presentations during the morning session and then discussed the issues covered during those lectures in workshops in the afternoon. Some topics that were covered at the conferences include market competition for low-income families, barriers and opportunities for low-income individuals, and the role of education in addressing low income energy needs.
