Learn how the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has helped not-for-profit
organizations and entrepreneurs train underemployed youth and adults and develop career pathways that meet
the demand of New York State’s growing energy efficiency industry. Their models could lead to similar programs
in your neighborhood.
NYSERDA has been developing partnerships to advance innovative energy solutions in New York State since
1975. Through Green Jobs – Green New York,

NYSERDA’s Workforce Development programs focus on building
the infrastructure necessary to support the technical training of new and existing workers in energy efficiency and
renewable energy, with a focus on new and advanced technologies. These programs are designed to advance
the skills of new and existing workers, provide job-related experience, and connect these workers to employers.
