Wind Power Workshop
NYSERDA is a sponsor of this event.
Join us for this on-site wind power discussion at the Wind Power Workshop to be held on December 10th at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
The workshop is free and open to the public and will serve as an orientation platform with the purpose of educating the public on the opportunities and importance of conducting thorough research and assessment prior to installing a wind turbine for net-metering purposes.
The event will feature a panel of wind energy experts and turbine owners, presenting all the information those attending would need prior to starting a wind project. Members of the expert panel will include John Richmond, owner of Richmond Dairy Farms, Ed Doody from Lawrence Doody and Sons Dairy and Rod Brown from Half Dutch Farms.
Come learn about the benefits and challenges of embracing wind energy in New York State and hear about the available grants, financing and leasing opportunities, as well a discussion on the different types of available technologies.
Organizations that will be represented include NYSERDA, DWEA, Aeronautics, Northern Power Systems, United Wind, Endurance, Farm Credit East and more. A complimentary lunch will be provided at the conclusion.
Reservations are encouraged by November 29th.
