RPS CST Regional PV Program (28790)

Mercury Solar Systems, Inc.

Background

The Renewable Portfolio Standard Customer-Sited Tier Regional Program, under Program Opportunity Notice 2484, is a competitive program designed to encourage the installation of larger-scale solar Photovoltaic (PV) and certain renewable biogas projects in New York's downstate region. Mercury Solar Systems, Inc. has been selected to install multiple solar photovoltaic (PV) systems greater than 50 kW each, and it has provided letters of interest from prospective customers with a total capacity close to 100% of the proposed capacity block.

Project Description

One PV system has been identified for installation in Newburg, NY. The remaining capacity is unknown. Energy data will be collected, via Web-based monitoring, over a three-year performance period, and it will be made available to the public on the Internet.

Benefits

Funding from this program is expected to increase the number of renewable energy projects in the downstate region.
