Project Description

Price Chopper Supermarkets (Golub Corporation) plans to install electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) groupings known as “Fuel Pads” at four stores. Each site will include three GE WattStation chargers, for a total of 12 parking spaces. Each “fuel pad” will have room for an additional three units against future needs, as well as be equipped with a canopy and lighting for weather protection and safety. Designs have been drafted, but contractor and charging unit supplier have not yet been determined. Each of the chargers will have data collection systems that will collect information on both utilization intervals and power draw.

Benefits

The project would increase the availability of EVSE to plug-in electric vehicle owners in New York State and would decrease petroleum use and carbon dioxide emissions.
