100 kw reciprocating engine CHP system located at Concord Court Staten Island.(22241)

Concord Court is a 156 unit, 154,800 square foot multifamily building that consumes 1,365 MWHr of electricity and 8,470 MMBtu of natural gas per year. Space heating and domestic hot water are provided by a central steam plant. The building is master metered for electricity. There is no central cooling plant.

Project Description

A CHP system consisting of a 100 kW Tecogen InVerde 100 reciprocating internal combustion engine will be installed and integrated into the existing electric and steam systems.


The CHP system is expected to produce 690 MWhr of electricity and 5,259 MMBtu of thermal energy for space heating and domestic hot water per year. The CHP system is expected to have an 83% annual overall fuel utilization.
